Awhile ago I placed an order for a Big Mac meal via app.

I went back and forth tracking my order through the app and when it said that Delivery was On Its Way I went for our door. I stood there for a good 15 minutes peeping through our peephole.

Nothing. I just stood there waiting. It felt like you were staring out into the world behind a protective barrier. Unmarred by life’s cruel lambasting of your effort to move forward. Drama aside, I was mostly looking forward to surprising the delivery guy by opening the door before he could ring the bell. Unfortunately, my reflexes were not what they used to be and he got to ring first before I could open.
